Why aren't you using Renown when trying to clear EX dailies?
Armed with kit that is revolved around clearing BB dailies, Renown's main purpose is making heavy cruisers lives hell and she does it elegantly, though that's also where her weakness lies, only doing heavy damage to heavy cruisers which limits her general use somewhat. Though she is by no means bad as she comes with crit boost when she is not damaged and is resilient courtesy of her blue skill and being a big ship.
